After much consideration, reflection and deliberation the volunteer executive of the Canadian Cosmetics Careers Association has made the difficult decision to say goodbye and end almost 5 decades of service to the Cosmetics industry.
Established in 1977 the CCCA provided a variety of personal professional development opportunities for individuals in their industry. This included the creation and distribution of the well-recognized Correspondence Course in 1980 which provided individuals across Canada, as well as Internationally, with the resources to study and earn a diploma demonstrating their knowledge and dedication to their customers, employers and colleagues.
Through the many seminars, the newsletter and an accreditation program the CCCA and its volunteers worked diligently to raise the standards of professionalism within the industry.
Many individual members of the industry were also recognized for their commitment and efforts in promoting and advancing professionalism through the CCCA Award of Merit.
And, students at colleges enrolled in Cosmetics programs were supported through the raising and distribution of scholarship funds.
I am most grateful for and would like to recognize the incredible efforts of the many volunteer members of the executive. Without their dedication I would have been writing this many years ago.
And now, the members of this volunteer organization who have provided these many services and supports over the years have earned the right to retire.
On their behalf I wish the Cosmetic industry, its many hard working Beauty Advisors and our former CCCA members much continued success.
Sincerely,
